Do‘s And Don‘t When Sleep Training an Infant

by Ásdís Ósk Valsdóttir

I‘m a mother of 3 children that all slept alone from birth, I followed these simple rules and spent the evening doing other things than trying to get my children to go to sleep.  I started this when they were between 8-12 weeks.

Do‘s

  • Always put the infant to bed around same time
  • Always have the same routine before bedtime
  • Check on the infant if he cries
  • Give him his passifier
  • Put on music
  • Try to put the light on, some are afraid of the dark
  • Always remember that you are in charge not the infant

Dont‘s

  • Panik if the infant cries and refuses to sleep alone
  • Take the infant out of the room
  • Give up, it will only take a couple of night

If you have any question just send me an email at asdisosk.lifewave@gmail.com and I do my best to help you.
